Summit Symphony Presents Free Family Concert:Â The Orchestra Grows Up!

SUMMIT, NJ — Summit Symphony Orchestra invites children and their families to a free performance of The Orchestra Grows Up! on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Summit High School.
​
Designed especially for young audiences, this lively introduction to the orchestra explores more than 250 years of music, from Antonio Vivaldi to Aaron Copland. Audiences will discover how the orchestra began, meet the different instrument families, and hear how new instruments created bigger and more exciting sounds over time.
Admission is free, and donations are welcome.

This concert is made possible through support from the Summit Foundation and funds from the Union County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
